WINDSTAR
Windstar was launched in 1984 with small ships that could sail with sails. Over the years it was part of different companies including Holland America. When Holland America was acquired by Carnival Corp it moved over to Carnival but was eventually sold to Windstar. Eventually the parent company went bankrupt, and was picked up by the Anschutz Corporation Subsidiary Xanterra Parks & Resorts became the parent company. In 2013, Winstar agreed to purchase the former Seabourn Triplets, Pride, Legend and Breeze and the sales was phased in over three years and now they are all part of the Windstar Fleet.
Windstar is a premium cruise line that caters mainly to singles and couples. From time to time their ships are also chartered.
