CUNARD
Cunard is a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation with a very long and storied history. It began in 1840 and just like today the majority of its guests come from England. Over the years, some of its cruise ships were temporarily taken out of service to support the transport of military troops such as the Qeen Elizabeth and the Queen Mary 2.
Cunard is a premium cruise line.
Cunard operates three cruise ships known as the Queens; Queen Elizabeth 2, Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria
They sail itineraries around the world.
Cunard ships are known for their class system as each guest is assigned dining based on their accommodation.
Those in standard rooms are assigned to the Britannia Club Restaurant which offers assigned early and late dining. Those in the Princes Grill Suites are assigned to the Princess Grill which is a more intimate dining room only serving a small number of guests and each guest is assigned a table and they can come as they please during operating hours. Passengers in the highest priced Queens Grill suites are assigned to the Princess Grill which whose intimacy and menu is very similar to the Princess Grill with the major difference being in some special menu offerings and also the ability to have some items cooked table-side. Those assigned to Princess and Queens Grill also have concierge service with a special concierge room.
The Queens Grill and Princess Grill are quite luxurious and the cuisine and service in these two dining rooms is very similar to what one would experience on a luxury cruise line.
The interiors of each ship are exquisite.
Cunard is known for its formality offering the most formal nights of any cruise line afloat and offers many activities that are traditions of cruising such as ballroom dancing and various games including Team Trivia.
